"Saskia, I have to tell you a little secret," Anne says.
They have a break between classes and the two girls are walking to a quiet part of the schoolyard.
"What is it you want to tell me?"
"I, uh… you won’t tell anyone?"
"I swear, that’s what we are friends for, isn’t it?"
"Ok. I like Mike very much."
"I like Floris".
"I think Mike and Floris are the nicest boys in our class."
"Me too, with Floris number one."
"No, Mike."
They can’t help laughing.
"I am glad", Saskia says, "that we don’t have a crush on the same boy."
"Yes, it is fun, but what if he is in love with one of us, then the other will be jealous."
"That is true. But what if Mike has a crush on me and your sweetheart…"
"Stop it!"
"Ok, so Floris is not in love with you. Then you will still be jealous of me."
"Of course not, because we are friends and friends are never jealous of each other."
